November 18 Public Comment Hearing on BGE Electric Rate Application Changed to In-Person Meeting

News Releases |

BALTIMORE, MD — The Maryland Public Service Commission has changed the format of its November 18, 2026, public comment hearing concerning the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company’s application to adjust its electric base rate. The hearing, previously scheduled to be virtual, will instead be held as an in-person meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The public hearing will now take place in the following location:

Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room

William Donald Schaefer Tower

6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor

Baltimore, Maryland 21202

The Commission made the change after the Maryland Office of People’s Counsel requested an in-person hearing to help ensure BGE customers have an opportunity to comment on the proposed rate increase. Commission Technical Staff supported that request.

The other two public comment hearings that are scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026, and Wednesday, November 4, 2026, will remain virtual and begin at 6:30 p.m. as previously announced.
